Nuprime Stream9 and Audirvana Studio
« on: 14 Feb 2026, 11:05 am »
I use Audirvana Studio, installed on a PC, and use Audirvana Remote with an iFi streamer. I wanted to connect a Stream9 to Audirvana via the UPnP protocol. Audirvana detects the Stream9 on the Wi-Fi network, shows me the Nuprime ASIO option, and allows me to select it. However, when I start a song, it doesn't play and freezes. No problems using the Bubble UPnP, Omnia, or 4 Stream apps. Thinking about the new feature offered by the Stream9 A, I thought there would be no problem, but strangely, the old Stream9 doesn't work with Audirvana Studio. What can I do?
Many thanks.

It is meaningless to use the old Stream 9 with Audirvana Studio on your PC.  You could just connect the USB output of PC to a DAC.  You are just using it as an uPnP gateway, and the old LinkPlay module inside Stream 9 doesn't work well.

You can send the old Stream 9 to our factory and pay the price difference to upgrade to Stream 9A.  Then you ended up with Audirvana Studio running on Stream 9A.

For Stream 9 to Stream 9A upgrade, you have to go through Nuprime directly since we are offering at cost:
1. Create a help desk ticket requesting for the upgrade.  To create the help desk ticket, you would have to register an account on b2b.nuprimeaudio.com.  Please provide phone number, shipping and billing addresses in your account.
2. Wait for us to provide you with an invoice and inform you to ship the unit to Taiwan factory.
