Something different for my speaker grills
« on: 13 Feb 2026, 06:46 pm »
As I was sitting around looking at my system the other day I decided I needed to do something with those ugly speaker grills. I hate making grills and would rather not have them, but they serve a purpose when not being used. So I decided to add a little something unique. Broke out the vinyl cutter and some gold spray paint and did this.  Some might think this a little tacky but I like it. Just thought I would share.

Those turned out rad with the gold on black.  :thumb:

I stand by that a vinyl cutter is the most useful tool nobody thinks of. I absolutely love having one and consider it $300 WELL spent.

Not to go too far off topic but what do you have (or recommend) and where is a good place to get some more info?

Silhouette Cameo in any of the variations are great without going off the deep end for $$$. Small learning curve slightly higher than Microsoft paint for their program to learn the basics. You can get super in depth and very precise with your cuts too.
