Upgrade from Piano 1?

I have a Piano 1 CD player. Just got the drawer belt replaced. Pristine all around. But is the DAC chip in it outdated? Should I change players?

I have just a simple two-channel system with Quad 12L2 speakers and a Bel Canto eVo integrated amp.

I wouldn't change anything if you're pleased with the sound of your system. If you mean "DAC" chip, companies like Audio Note and Border Patrol have been using old school DAC chips for years. Not an issue if properly implemented.

Thank you, Mick. Guess I’ll keep it for now. But I would like to explore different speakers.
