You're correct in reporting what the table indicates.
In the next column, the written description says the following:
"HDMI Audio
The BDA-3.14 can receive both PCM and DSD audio
over the HDMI . . . ."
Since the table and the text contradict each other, only one can be true. Or . . . the file player can play DSD files via the HDMI input, but not natively.
It's possible that to play DSD files over HDMI, the 3.14 has to send it in a PCM wrapper.
My BDP3 also plays DSD (.dxf) files via both USB and HDMI, however I've never seen the file format indicator LEDs turn amber, even with files that I know for certain are DSD 1 or 2.
