In the opening remarks at the first Indianapolis Prize Gala (the world's leading award for animal conservation, typically known as the "Nobel Prize of Conservation") twenty years ago, the audience was told "One of the greatest gifts we can give our children and grandchildren is a future they would choose to inherit, rather than one they are forced to endure."
We all need to pay more attention to the prices that our children will have to pay for the choices we make today.
