New Review of the CA1 Control Amp
« on: 31 Dec 2025, 02:30 pm »
TONE Audio just released a new review of our CA1 Control Amp, recently published in No. 124.

https://www.tonepublications.com/MAGPDF/TA_124.pdf

A few quotes from the article, subtitled "The Bargain of the Century"

"By every definition, it represents a screaming bargain, and I can think of no other integrated amp even twice its price that offers this level of performance, especially when you throw in that ridiculously good phono stage!"

"All that said, the most undeniable quality was the sheer amount of bass this flyweight control amp slams out "

"Powerful, with excellent drive and tone, the rhythm section of every artist I played never had to worry about being left in the dark."

"Well, now! Let's just cut straight to the chase and state AVN's on-board MM phono stage is really, really good. As in stupid good"

Thanks to Jeff Dorgay and Darin Kong at TONE.

I've spent most of the day listening to mine. Actually that's not true. I've spent most of the day listening to music. The CA-1 - fed by a DAC 5 - is serving up music. Pure joy.

Thanks Frank, Mary, Mithat, Jim - everyone who has ever been associated with AVA, and may everyone have a transcendentally musical 2026.

Starting tonight, of course...
