Thought I would quickly update this. In the end I didn’t return the player in January, as the fault seemed to correct itself and has been playing fine. Of course, the fault has returned with the same Tray Error message. Sent to UK distributor this week for repair with an estimated 2 week wait, subject to finding the fault and parts availability. Fingers crossed it won’t be too much longer!
Further update. UK importer PMC who handle the repairs have had the player for almost 3 weeks now and can’t find a fault, even though I sent a video of the fault occurring they say that they can’t reproduce it on the workbench. Asked me if I want the player back “fault not found”!
Anyone else here had this issue? If so, please let me know how it was rectified!
