Up for sale is a pair of beautifully made German Odeon Midas loudspeakers in beautiful walnut. These are handmade in Germany and are a rare find as they’re primarily sold in Europe and Asia. They’re also nice because they’re 95db efficient in a smaller floor standing speaker. Perfect for small or medium rooms due to smaller footprint, down firing bass port and since they're efficient you can use any amp. Amazing detail and punchy, articulate bass. I used with both tube and solid state amps and all sounded great. I got these a few months ago because my main speakers needed a repair. I was looking for something with big drivers since my listening area is pretty big. But I was drawn in by the efficiency of these speakers and the component quality and craftsmanship and they don’t disappoint. Even in my larger space these sound amazing and easily fill the room. They sound amazing both at low and high volumes and never sounded out of sorts. Component and build quality is exceptional. The birch ply birch spherical wave horn is handmade. The drivers are custom Audax and Scanspeak. The crossover uses Mundorf components. The cabinet is very rigid and solid. The speaker is ported down through the bass of the cabinet so it can be placed close to a wall. It’s actually designed for that purpose. I bought the speakers new and they are in new condition.
