This site is way too complicated for a moron like me. It took me 20 min to get the registration to work. Never seen a help site so hard to use. I would understand 2FA but this constant verification is too much to deal with. Hey I am 77 and stupid which is why I need a little help, OK? Don't really understand the reason for all this constant verification crap. Just looking for a little help from someone from gr-research which I was promised in their videos.

I have the Klipsch RP600M speakers and have bought the updated parts from gr-research. I was able to get the rear port off. I got the screws out of the speaker connectors but I can't get that out because of circuit board on the back of it. I can't get the woofer out because I don't know what type of tool I need to remove those screws. They are not the same as the ones on the back port. I can't proceed any further until I can get the woofer out. Can somebody please explain to me what I need to get those screws out without wrecking the speakers? They don't seem to be Phillips head , star, square or hex. Why was this not in the video?

Once you've made two approved posts then your post are seen as soon as you make them and you get full access to the site without issues.

If I remember correctly, you just tilt it forward a little and slide it out. It may be hanging on the connection to the drivers though. You will need to remove them first.

The screws are 3mm allen head. I found the answer on the Klipsch forum with a google search. I had to dig around to find one as I don't use my metric set often. I have completely disassembled the first speaker, scraped up a lot of glue and started installing the Nores. The kit had 3 sheets but I needed 2 of them for the first speaker. Guess I have to order a full sheet, I don't see the option for a half sheet which these appear to be I think. On this speaker there are no braces on the bottom so I started from there and went up to about an inch from the top. There are braces on both sides so I cut pieces to fill the flat space. I used the left over part for the top and a bit for the back. It looks good, I just don't have enough to do the other speaker the same way. Guess I used more than I should have? It looked like I did not need the nores in the parts along the side where the braces are. It took a while to figure out what size and shape to make the nores but it looks like it should be good. I don't hear much when I knock on the sides.
