BDP-2 Tidal issue
« on: 16 Dec 2025, 08:59 pm »
I am experiencing an issue with Tidal logging out while using MM web interface on FireFox 145.0.2 running on Win 11 v10.0.26100.
I can log in, see my Tidal playlists etc. but after a while (haven't timed it yet) Tidal login UI will present itself even though
a Tidal playlist is running in MM.  Now something slightly different has happened.  I can't access the Tidal interface for my playlists
or accessing Tidal searches.  This is what MM is left presenting for Tidal:

I can click Tidal login repeatedly and nothing happens.
This is the usual appearance after successful login.  Note the addition of 'Playlists' and 'My Collection"

There has been repeated input from the community here about MM
replacement etc.  It would be preferable to NOT abandon Bryston for a different streamer: the BDB-2 I have plays perfectly well
integrated into my full Bryston stack.  I would like to hear further from James on the possibility of a board swapout/upgrade or MM
maintenance/firmware updates going forward.  If the response is "this product is no longer supported and won't ever be" so be it but
let consumers know this is the end of the line for BDP-2.

You know, I asked Bryston something similar and got the reply that spare parts are no longer available. Your options will be either to wait for the BDP-4 (if it ever becomes a reality as they are not yet certain whether there will be one) and spend a a lot of money for it - or buy something else from some other manufacturer. I could not even get a quote for the VF-display, let alone the "motherboard" which in itself implies the thing has been made by someone else. I asked for the exact model number of the board and did not get it.

So it is safe to say that the only person on whom you can depend on to keep your machine operational is - you. It is surprising and it is disappointing.

thanks for the reply and confirming I'm not alone on this issue.  Seems like a software and not a hardware issue and being
linux-based should be fixable.  If Bryston has abandoned LTS for BDP-3 on back, it would be great if they would open source
the code and let the community keep it alive.
