Hello!  I am new here and have just acquired a AVA FET Valve SL preamplifier. Waiting for it to be delivered. Will use it with my Soundstream DA-1('92 Krell Design) which powers my ADS 1530s, using various sources. I am having trouble finding info on the preamp. Aado Perandi designed it for AVA (says so on back of pre). Any idea when it was made? If AVA will service/upgrade it? Over all impressions of it as well as the phono section? Thanks in advance for any info. I look forward to being a part of this community. I appreciate all of the security in this forum, I am sure I will get used to it. Cheers

I own a few pieces of AVA gear and was an acquaintance of Franks.  They will service the preamp as long as parts are available.  But give them a call, they answer their phone and have great customer service. Or at the very least, shoot them an email.
