I was able to snag a ZP3 for its current Black Friday price of $159 and what a bargain it has turned out to be. A good preamp doesn't add to or subtract anything from the signal path but in this case it allows the very best sound I've been able to achieve from the 2a3 SET mono-block amps. It has replaced a great sounding Bottlehead preamp which has moved on to another system. I'm using the ZP3 to bi-amp OB Lii Audio F-15's and Eminence bass woofers with its two pair of outputs while its sub output feeds a single W-15 OB sub. Just a few years ago you'd pay over a grand for a preamp with less features than the Fosi offers. Some have criticized the digital volume control but its a non issue if you spin the volume knob a couple of rotations when first switched on. Love the balance control which I haven't seen on a preamp or amp in years. It's still active when the bass and treble controls are switched off. Love using XLR connections from the ZP3 to its sister ZD3 Dac which compliment each other. Get a ZP3 before the price goes up and you can thank me later.
