"Bride of Frankenstein" with Boris Carloff. I saw it the late 60's when I was about 5. That is the first one I think of when it comes to the over 50 plus Frankenstein movies out there.

The 1931 version with Boris Karloff. Classic! I love all the Universal ones.

There is just something about Frankenstein being in b&w that just makes it right for me. Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder knew it. That's why Young Frankenstein was in black an white.

The original and still the best. And I say this with the context that "Young Frankenstein" is my favorite all-time movie.

Small bit of trivia: Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein" (1974) borrowed from the 1931 original, most notably by using the original lab equipment created by Kenneth Strickfaden for the 1931 film. Strickfaden had stored the props in his garage, and Brooks rented them, giving Strickfaden screen credit for the work. This allowed Young Frankenstein to recreate the classic, authentic look of the 1931 film's laboratory.
