Hi, I am coming with a question about how to convert my 2 monoblocks Kissmett Reference with Piltron Transformers (from Stratos monoblocks) from 110 volts to 220 volt 50 Hz.
I am planning to move from Ecuador (120 v 60 Hz) to Chile (220 Volt 50 Hz).
Is it a easy way to fix this?

Thanks

You will need new transformers or rewind the primary wind, but they are encapsulated.

As a second class poor solution you may use a external transformer.

There are high-quality step-down voltage and frequency converters for about $1000. It seems as if converting the amp might be less expensive, but here's one example of the external route:

We recently lived in India for 3 years and used a locally sourced voltage transformer brand called "Maxine" for all of our U.S. electronics. Even the most robust versions were inexpensive. We never had an issue, even with my tubed integrated amplifier. Here's a link - hopefully you can find a brand with similar specs and price in Chile.

I ordered a handmade step-down 220-120V 4.5kg transformer in a local tech and cost me under $20usd.

Guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No need for that.  All you need to do is to change transformer wiring.

Send me a pic of the transformer you have and I'll let you know which leads you have to solder together....

As a rule of thumb here:

1.  leave the thicker wires from the transformer to the board alone
2.  de-solder the wires from the transformer to the switch and IEC
3.  check and see if you have these 4 color codes:  black, brown, white, and red(orange).  Most likely you have them
4.  Solder the brown and white cables together....insulate with electrical tape
5.  solder the red / orange  wire to the IEC
6. solder the black wire to the switch

Done,  220 - 250 V.

7. (maybe)  run the amp for a day and put your hands on the chassis.  If it's just warm,  you're ok.  However,  if the chassis is cold or very warm (your judgement call)  then it will need rebiasing.
