You'll find that speakers haven't changed much, except for consumers are discovering the advantages of active design (used by nearly all professional studios).
Preamps haven't changed much either. But class D has become popular (small, light, energy efficient). And sources have mostly gone digital. CD's have been replaced with streaming.
