24" corner solution

Does the standard corner product mount flush to the wall or can it function properly mounted 1 1/2 - 2" out from the corner? I was thinking that 2 ea 24" solutions could be mounted immediately above and below the rail.

The product can be mounted further out with a slight decrease in effectiveness. We do not currently make any other sizes, but are exploring the possibilities for custom sized products.

I think you would sell a fair amount of shorter corners because of the chair rail issue. Thanks for hearing me out Nathan.
