Ive been an audiophile like many here - always looking for the next best thing - and after three decades of search, continues the journey!
From simple setups to a lot more complicated units and configurations- bet it Solid State or Tube gear.
Currently use Linn DSM2 Klimax Organik - which is a Streamer/DAC/PreAmp, with a 300B Takatsuki TA S01 amp driving Tannoy Kensington GR’s. I recently picked up a brand new Integrated hoping to replace the 300B, but boy it is a totally different dish! I am also building new setup with AN/e AlNiCo Silver with OTO SE Silver Signature.
Always ends up buying brand new units only to drain my wallet in a years time when I move one to the next best thing LOL!. Sounds familiar? 😃
