Nuprime HD-ava crossover setup
« on: 7 Oct 2025, 05:33 am »
Hello,

Still holding on to my Nuprime HD-AVA and using it mainly for music in 2ch, really enjoying it. But have now "invested" in 2 subwoofers for little bit more punch in movies but dont get the crossover to work. Front speakers are set to small 80hz, and subwoofer crossover at 80 hz, but when i test them with REW and unik mic fronts play all sounds from subwoofer territory and up, and subwoofers play far over the 80hz they are set to. If i set front speakers to large then the only differens is that they play lower hz much louder. is there something i am missing? When doing calibrations with rew i use a usb cabel, can that be the problem? maby the usb dac dont take crossover changes?

How about considering upgrading to all digital system with AoIP.
Replace the AVP with Nuprime-X H16-AIP (https://nuprime-x.com/product/h16aip/)
You can then send the Dolby Atmos decoded AoIP to computer's Dante Virtual Sound Card and use DSP for processing. You can also send the LFE channel to each sub woofer separately via AoIP to XLR converter.
Keep the HD-AVA for the 2 channel. May be add active speaker for 4.1 setup.

You can buy other brand's AoIP to XLR converter or wait until Jan 2026 for Nuprime-X AoIP to XLR converter.
