AURALiC Ceases Trading Effective Immediately
https://stereonet.com/news/auralic-ceases-trading-effective-immediately

"AURALiC has said it will not issue any official statement regarding its current financial situation. However, multiple sources have reported to StereoNET that they have been informed, "that effective immediately, the company will no longer continue operations due to a significant decline in sales performance. Sales have dropped by 80% this year due to the tariff war, increasing competition from cheaper streaming products and challenging economic conditions worldwide."

The Auralic website has a banner at the top of the page
https://us.auralic.com/

"Due to US government tariff policy, we have temporarily suspended all shipment to US address till future notice."

That thread title is misleading. The company haven't ceasesd trading. They've just suspended sales to the US.

I hope you're right. However, the thread title is a direct quote from the StereoNet article headline, and StereoNet, I believe, is Australian.
Also, the article states "AURALiC has said it will not issue any official statement regarding its current financial situation. However, multiple sources have reported to StereoNET that they have been informed, "that effective immediately, the company will no longer continue operations due to a significant decline in sales performance. Can anyone with access to a non-US Auralic website check to see if they are still listing products for sale? Auralic's US website shows all products as "Sold Out."
Let's hope that the lack of an official company statement means that they're reserving some wiggle-room.

@Zuman, I took the following statement to mean that the company had only suspended operations in the US, but was otherwise still trading in some form...

"Due to US government tariff policy, we have temporarily suspended all shipment to US address till future notice."

"challenging economic conditions worldwide" suggests that the interruption of business is not limited to US shipments. One would expect Auralic to be a bit more careful about the wording of their official communications. Either way, it's sad news and I fear this may just be the tip of the iceberg.

They could still ship to the US, but it would be held up in customs until you the buyer paid the tariff.

Looks like they just aren't shipping to the US. We were recently in Norway and they aren't shipping to the US either. They told us that they don't know what tariffs to charge and collect and even if they did, how to pay them, so no shipping here.

The seller does nothing different than before; it is not the seller's responsibility to collect and pay import tariffs for its customers in North America.

The US Customs is responsible for notifying the buyer the arrival of the package and collecting the tax. Certainly US Customs will contact the buyer and informing him the amount of taxes that must be paid.
