It was so much fun being 6 years old again. The new "Lilo and Stitch" movie combines live actors with animated alien creatures for a raucous good time. Both Lilo and Stitch are mini-hurricanes causing unintentional chaos wherever they go, fun for them but endless frustration for Lilo's big sister Nani who must be both a parent and best friend at the same time.

Lilo and Stitch in a rare quiet moment
As we know, Stitch is an illegal genetic experiment created by Dr. Jumba Jookiba on planet Turo. Jumba is convicted by the United Galactic Federation for creating an aggressive, near-indestructible creature with advanced learning capabilities. Experiment 626 is sentenced to exile but escapes and steals a police cruiser and using its hyperdrive travels to Earth, crash landing on Kauaʻi where Lilo finds Experiment 626 in an animal shelter and adopts the blue "dog."
Adding to the destructive nature of the Lilo and Stitch pairing is a pair of agents from Turo tasked to retrieving Experiment 626, a social worker who thinks Nani is too young to be Lilo's sole guardian, a CIA agent, and a portal gun. The action was non-stop fun.

The live-action "Lilo & Stitch" is a remake of the 2018 animated film with some character and plot changes. I don't remember the 2018 film so can't make any comparisons, I'll leave that to grumpy old reviewers.
The 6 year old in me loved it.
