I didn't really know FVA beyond interacting with him a couple of times on this forum, and seeing a couple of videos about him and his company on YouTube. Nonetheless, when he passed I sensed that this was a man who lived life on his own terms, doing what he loved. It made me think of myself and other Audiophiles of my age and how nice it would have been to have lived a similar life, engaged in the things that truly interest us rather than the compromises we make to earn a living on our life's journey. I actually have know idea if what I've stated was actually true, but as I said that was my sense of the man, which some of you will know from personally knowing FVA much better than me.
