So new, it's not even on their website.  After seeing the $7000 price (basic black), I was worried cheap parts would be used, but they are advertising "dual 15″ Lavoce woofers and the finest Italian crafted B&C midrange compression horn and tweeter." If this things sounds decent, it may be a bargain.

If someone has $7 grand to drop on speakers, they probably want them to look like $7K speakers, not DIY. Aesthetically, these would work well in a home theater setup.

I agree.  $7K with an encloser that looks very similar to a Bose Acoustimass array puts me in a bank withdraw hard stop.  Tons of ducks on the pond to consider.  Maybe a test session will ease my dislike.

Even their more expensive speakers, don’t appear to have top class finish / material. So why would this one be any difference for $7K, anyway it's the sound that matters. If you want something that looks good and better finish / material, but don’t sound the part, get a Sonus Faber.

Competing speaker brands having similar models with fancy finishes are priced far north of $7000.

Tekton speakers are always well-designed, and this is reflected in their measurements.

It would be wise never to claim differently.

The wife acceptance factor on those speakers is zero, so that eliminates a significant number of potential buyers. They can be designed better to sound better and kept at $7K. For instance, those dual woofers shouldn't be dragging on the floor, the woofer cabinet doesn't need that wide, and the frame for the horn should be smaller. I'm guessing this is a prototype.
