Yeah, he had some binding posts and didn't realize that it would be giving up some performance by using them.

He specializes in making things out of concrete and not in speaker design.

Do any of you recall a speaker company called "Rauna of Sweden"? They use enclosures made of concrete and were very well reviewed but they didn't look as nice as what the guy in the video came up with but they also didn't have access to 3D printing either.

While not concrete, Roy Johnson (RIP) at the now defunct Green Mountain Audio used granite dust mixed with resin, and poured into bespoke molds. You can still find photos of his speakers online. Even his small 2-ways were extremely heavy.

I've thought of making enclosures out of a stiff material such as glass, stone, or granite.  But I've wondered if it is even worth it, as MDF has it's own damping characteristics that may make it better than stiff materials.  But I wonder if you could use that one material for damping, what's it called?? yes-rez, maybe-rez?

I really enjoyed this video. I am always amazed by highly skilled workers in any industry. His attention to detail in the planning, execution, and mold-making were highly enjoyable.  An many ways, I am often more interested in the methods and processes than the end project.

I would trust that man to build me anything he claimed to be capable of, knowing that if it was outside of his expertise, he would either figure it out, or would be upfront with his own limitations but would not commit beyond his capabilities, which are all valuable traits.
