Have you ever picked up a physical album without knowing anything about the music, purely because the cover art caught your eye?

That happened to me while wandering through a market in Munich with a friend. I spotted the record below I’d heard of Scorpions, but I didn’t really know their music.

I vividly remember buying this cd which caught my eye in a JB Hifi store back in 1994, as it was a 24kt gold special edition and came with a 32 page book. At the time i'd never heard of Sylvian & Fripp before, but definitely no regrets. Over the years i've come to appreciate what underated artists David Sylvian & his collaborator Eddie Fripp are. And the album has really grown on me. I often play it when i'm feeling down or reflective.



Here is another cd I bought back in the 90's, mainly because of the cool album artwork and pulsing light (and because it was Pink Floyd obviously )..
