I would test the cap to see if it is still in specification, if it is you might give it a shot. Time will tell if it was damaged to where it will fail early, but just guessing at this point.
I'm going to go ahead and replace it since taking it apart to correct the cap if it is screwy would probably drive me over the edge.
... I also managed to drop one of the tweeters on the ground while carrying it over to be installed in the cabinet. Shattered it on the tile floor. I blame the dog, but I should have been carrying it in a way she couldn't have toppled it. So... yeh.

I did get one of the speakers done though!

Super cramped in this thing, I could barely screw in the mounts for the crossover. It's supposed to screw in the back as well but there's no way I am reaching it. The two up front seem good enough. I found these little white plastic screw covers in Lowes, thought it might isolate them better or something? They're neat though.

Super duper cramped. I put some polyfill over the bottom as well.

Tested 'er and it's working well! Now I just need a new cap, a new tweeter... And some way to keep the tube connectors from falling out the bottom. I actually have no idea how I'm gonna do that.
