Please tell a little more about the project and gear.  Is it veneer or solid wood and what species?  Also, what cartridges are you using?  Maybe Grados?

5 layers of 24mm european birch plywood. Bubinga veneer with jarah stain then 2-pack clear coat. Current cartridges are Koetsu rosewood signature on the DV505 and an upgraded Denon DL103 on the WTL arm - but that will change, not too happy with the koetsu on the dv505.

As you own both DV & WT tonearms, kindly compare & contrast the two.

Not sure how much of a difference a DV505 is to A DV507MK-II, but I am using an EMT JSD S 75 cartridge on my Dynavector DV507MK-II with very good results.

That is spectacular work, absolutely gorgeous. When I had my Classic, I did a black lacquer finish and discovered just how bad my woodworking skills really. It came out OK, but just OK, and the person who I sold it to had no complaints, but it definitely wasn't great and not even in the same universe as what you've done here.
