I'm new here and not able to search the forum.  I've found some instructions on how to adjust the bias, but I don't want to do it until I'm sure of the process.  To that end I made a visual diagram of the interior with the relevant spots marked for clarity.  If someone could used this diagram as a reference with instructions that would be incredible.  Maybe this will be useful for others as well.  Thanks in advance for any help.

OK,  a correction here:

1. right offset poti
2. left offset poti
3. right side bias poti
4. left side bias poti
5. yes,  negative
6. & 7.  GROUND  !!!!  needed to bias the offset...either with negative or positive speaker outputs 5 & 8....NEVER NEVER EVER  use the positive and negative outputs 5 & 8 together to bias the offset !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
8.  yes,  positive

Thanks Klaus - I'll update the photo and add the instructions as I now understand fully what to do.  I think.  I'll run it by you first.

I've revised the diagram based on all the posts about biasing, and Klaus' feedback.  Please check my work.  I believe I got it right.

OK - I did it and it all worked fine.  Then my positive probe slipped out of TP3 and made contact with the metal rail to which the output transistors are affixed while I had the negative probe on the ground (unoccupied pad 7).  And a spark popped.  Shit.

Now the left side of the board shows no ability to adjust the left middle trim pot - it has no effect.  The offset still showed as functional and normal.  Neither fuse not the left or the main fuse popped.

What have I done.  I'm so pissed right now.

Any insight into my misfortune would be great.

Thanks

Well,  on that side of the amp,  put the meter on continuance (the beeping thing)  and measure the transistors legs...if you get a tone when testing any 2 legs,  then the outputs are blown,  and the puppies gotta come home for a while...problem is,  and I apologize to everybody here,  I am SLAMMED  !!!!!!  Then again,  once they're here I can bring them into 2025
