Analog photography anyone?
« on: 28 Jul 2025, 02:38 am »
During an archaeological dig into my storage unit I came across my old film camera, a Contax 139 Quartz.  After some cleaning and new batteries it seems to be working fine.  I sent off for some film so we'll see how it works.

Any one else still using film?  I see plenty of print film still being produced but not so much with slide film.  Although there does appear to be a market that deals in expired slide film.  Questionable to say the least.  If if y'all know of any slide film being manufactured I'd like to know.

I still use analogue, I like black & white. I have not picked up the camera in a while, I still have my Canon EOS 1n & EOS 1v. I still mainly use Ilford films, use to love to go into the darkroom now I just have the films developed for me.

I bought a waterproof Nikon Nikonos V 35mm for serious high-resolution underwater work, but was quickly banned from my local Leisure Centre, and the courts gave me a lifetime restraining order - forbidding me to use image-capture equipment in a public place.
What is it with these uptight mums in the swimming pool?
It’s not like anyone’s gonna see your heads…

Hi all analog guys.
I had many analog cameras and a few years ago I sold all of them.
However, a friend of my gave me a Minolta FG 35mm.
I did a black & white 35mm test, but the result was so, so...
I will try again with a colour film in a near futur.
Happy (35mm) shooting.

I honestly regret selling my 2 Canon F-1's, one of which was a commemorative edition for the '84 LA Olympics........

I just gave away 2 Nikon bodies and half a dozen Nikkor lenses to a young guy who is interested in analog photography. Hope he keeps it going for a while.
