I have had Maggie’s for years, done many upgrades on them, but always just used an upgraded fuse instead of going all the way fuseless.
Well I finally built up the nerve and decided to try it. Not wanting to pull the plate off and rewiring yet,  I got this idea that works pretty well.

So, with only a few hours playing so far, I do believe it’s a definite improvement on my .7s.
Wider , smoother sound stage, and a bit more solid bass.
I may have to do some rewiring after all. I just wish I could get a schematic, I would go all the way and upgrade the caps.

The complete fuse rewire eliminates the fuse holder and all the cheap metal associated with it.  If you liked your bypass you'll like the complete fuse bypass even more.

Havent you already dug into the .7s? Looks like external xos on the speaker base.

I rebuilt and made xos external on my 1.7i s. Still using fuses, but Ive been contemplateing bypassing them which is easier now that everything is well "burned in" with them external.

Nice to have schmatic, but if your just upgradeing components and replaceing wire, I drew my own. Once opened up take pictures, draw, color code and record values of all components.

What you are seeing on the speaker stands are VPI bricks.
I did replace the binding post and bypass the metal jumpers, but I didn't want to mess with the sock to check out the crossover.
If I had a schematic I would go in there prepared with new components, but just to go in and look, my experience is that there probably won't be any values listed on the caps.
I was thinking of trying GR Research crossover upgrade kit, but can't find a review.

What amperage are these fuses?
Are they the same amperage as the originals?
