Real World listening vs Technical Data
« on: 21 May 2025, 04:02 pm »
"This video offers a compelling explanation of audio measurements and why specs alone don’t tell the full story. Frank faced criticism for not publishing specifications, but he firmly believed that the true measure of an amplifier’s performance was in how it sounded to the listener—not just in how it looked on paper. This video underscores that philosophy, showing why he prioritized real-world listening experiences over shopping based on technical data alone."

In the 36 years I have owned AVA gear (and longer hearing it at my friend Wayne's) no one has ever asked me for the THD or frequency response...and the only remote reference to a measurement may have been to Wow & Flutter. Wait, no it was only a WOW! So true! There's an element to AVA sound that transcends measurement. Thank you AVA Team for decades of enjoyment.

Thank you for sharing Mary.  Just another example that neither end of an argument owns the truth.
