Hello, my name is Matthew (mdaudio001). I split time between San Antonio TX and Santa Fe NM. I know Santa Fe is little bit of a drive to Denver, but still close enough to that I hope to be able to engage with this great group, especially since my primary high end system will be in our Santa Fe home.
I was very into the audiophile world in my twenties, when I was the national trainer for Home Audio for Best Buy. And no Best Buy was not audiophile at all LOL, but through a couple of projects I got to work with Paul McGowan of PS Audio and Arnie Nudell (of Infinity and Genesis Technologies with Paul back then), as well as Polk Audio. Then life, wife, and kids happened, and I have been mostly out of the audiophile world the last twenty years. But I'm back, and now have the time and resources to build my system again!
I have a modest system right now, with Gallo Strada 2's, SVS Ultra 16 sub, an old but great sounding Cary Audio solid state Class A biased amp, and a PS Audio Pre/DAC. I can't wait to research and learn from all from all you guys here. I've got a lot to catch up on, and start the process of upgrading my system. I really look forward to engaging with this terrific group.
