Getting a lot of compliments on the build.
« on: 12 Apr 2025, 03:10 am »
I got a new 77” OLED which gave me a chance to post my room up on reddit and elsewhere. Lots of people complimenting the speakers and I’m directed them to this forum. My posts had 130k views in 24 hours on Reddit. Hopefully we’ll get some future audiophiles joining the fray. Placement isn’t perfect due to size of room, but it sounds good. Love how this picture came out.

Wow, if it sounds like it looks! Stellar! Are you using Pi on the back wall or Danny’s diffusers?

Appreciate the feedback everyone.  Seeing it as a completed room makes me so damn happy.   It's kind of insane how much thought, and how meticulous every aspect of our audio/video systems end up becoming and i'm finally at a point where I feel like I don't have anything else planned for changes to the room or system and I can just enjoy it.

All the diffusion is from PI Audio (prior to GR-Research's offerings).

Isn't the open side on the Otica supposed to face out?

Ive had it both ways.  I had it facing out for the majority of the time Ive had them and just recently tried it on the inside since I had to push them further against the wall than I would prefer.  I made other system and room changes so would need to A/B the positions to see which sounds better but for now it sounds good enough the way it is to not stress about it. Next time I get the house to myself I'll swap them again and see how it goes.
