Great job. Printed in PLA I guess?
Last week, I took a total shot in the dark and bought a pair of Magnepan LRS+. I haven’t heard Maggie’s in 20 years, but I was certain I wouldn’t be disappointed so I got them with the intent to upgrade them immediately. I have to say, the stock speaker sounds pretty good considering the price. I don’t think anything can touch it for under $1k. For the upgrade, I knew right away that I wanted to do an external box which will give me the flexibility to mess around with them in the future. Inspired by the 3D printed crossover boards that CSS provides with their kits, I decided to design my own for the Maggie’s along with a box with a sliding removable top. Here is what I’ve done so far. I will post the completed boxes once I have the rest of the parts I need early next week. Then the fun of disassembly of the Maggie’s begins.
Good job. Initially I thought you were able to print an actual crossover, caps, coil, etc., so had to look. That would have been some Star Trek level technology.
Did you use supports for the little overhang on the box where the lid slides in or was it just a long bridge?
