G3rain1,
Did you have to cut the diffuser panels to fit inside the Acoustimac frame?

Yeah, a bit. The frames aren't built to super tight tolerances. I sanded rather than cutting though.

Thanks for the info. I have the panels but now I’m not sure how to get them to stay on the wall. I used Loctite 8x adhesive and it would not stick. I wonder if I can find similar frames that are a little bit bigger than the panels. I may have to find a place that will custom build them.

I may secure shelf brackets to my studs and seat the panels on them to support the weight. Then put strong two sided tape on the backs.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Here's what both look like together

And the other side where they're wall mounted

I'm using these metal cleets that came with the frames to mount them.

Here is another fastening alternative, one could use, building their own diffuser panels, that works well. Home Depot sells.

I Noticed BXI offers more acoustical options now, than what I used for my acoustic panels I utilized for my NX-Studio's.

If you don't want to go the frame route you might consider some impaler clips. I was considering this originally as it's far simpler, but decided on frame as I wanted to protect the edges of the Styrofoam from accidental bumps.

G3rain1,
Thanks for the info. I contacted a local woodworker about making the frames (oversized) but he charges $115/ hr so that is out. What did you use to sand the panels down? How much did you need to sand off? Should I purchase an electric “turkey” knife? I should only have to cut about a half inch off. I just don’t want to wreck the panels.

I used an orbital sander with a course grit. 60 or 80 if I recall.

The amount varied depending on how well the frame fit (or didn't). I think at most it was around 1/4th of an inch or so. It sands really easily so I don't thing there's much risk of damaging it.  It does create a lot of dust so have dust collection and mask up.
