Classic Power Supply?
« on: 13 Mar 2025, 10:32 am »
As mentioned earlier i have Classic - round motor.  If like to replace the wall wart which has seen better days. I was expecting it to put out 12v DC but on inspection it puts out 120v AC (I live in Australia so run on 240v ). The 120 is then balanced reduced to 100V with the inline resistor. Does anyone know what the power rating of the wall wart is?

Regards.

The Classic models (3 layer black plinth, square arm tower) do not have a power supply for the motor as they use A/C Syncrhonous motors.

Us, it appears mine runs on 100v AC. But I live in Australia where we have 240V. Sob the question what is the current draw of the motor?

So, are you saying i could get rid of the 240 > 120v transformer and the inline capacitor/resistor things that brings it down to 100v AC?
