Digital mini system - are there any Sharp 1-Bits out there

Hello.  I'm looking for a nice little mini system for the office.  I remember all those Sharp 1-Bit products that were dumped to wholesalers for really pretty cheap.  Does anyone know if such products are still offered and at a good price?  I'm kicking myself for not getting one a couple of years ago when you all were talking about them.

I might also consider that Yamaha piano-finish mini system, and I can't find those Teac reference series components anywhere!

Any suggestings would be of great help for an elegant, excellent sounding and inexpensive mini system.

Thanks!

There's a big thread here on the topic. Search for "Sharp" and "111" and you might find it. All those cheaper prices on that one are gone. You might still find one at the relatively higher prices. And there the other 1-bit Sharp mini systems with lower sampling rates than the 111 probably still available at amazon.

Yes - I saw the post about the Sharp 111 - too bad I missed that.  Does anyone have any suggestions for a small office system?  Most of what is out there is total crap.

thanks.

I have one of the JVC "executive" systems that uses single full range drivers, and features their "hybrid feedback" amplification (showcased in the MANY threads about ES-1, and F-10 receivers from JVC).

Perfect for the family room, and punches WAY above its' head.

Was around US$110 shipped off eBay...

I think it is called the FS-1.  Here is a link to info about the bigger brother, the FS-3, which shares the same main portion, but uses different speakers.

I would junk the speakers anyway, and use a set of something that you dig...

Hi Pancho,

I have a spare Sharp SD-EX111 here that I am not using, but it is fully modified and I'm not sure if you are looking to spend more than the cost for the stock unit:

but that is indeed more than I can spend.  Awesome stuff, though.
