They look really cool.  Are these class A or AB?  Biased A thru first 10 watts maybe?  What would basic specs on these look like?  Basic price point?  Any info on economics and applications would be great.  Very interested in this build project!  What kind of speakers are you running?  What music tracks catch your attention?  Im very intrigued by this build.

For pricing, please reach out to Klaus directly. I have had amps not mention any brands costing in the $50k range and I will say these are better than those in my system over the years.
I prefer not to mention what other gears and speakers in my system. For those who know me here they know I’m a crazy guy. I always maximize every piece of gears I have in my system starts from the wall all the way to the transducers. I’m confident that there are only a few guys who setup a system close to what I have here in my room. IMO every pieces in the system must have good synergy from the room to the gears. My speakers might not work well in your room. My cables may not be your taste. The result is that these amps are the best sounding in my system.

My apologies for my earlier message I did not want to mention any brand names but Klaus said it is ok to mention Avalon Eidolon Speakers, they are my current reference speakers. Knowing Klaus for over 20 years now, I know he offers me only the best of the best he builds. I know for the fact if these amps di not turn out to be as good as they are now, I'm sure Klaus will NOT even bother to ship them to me. If I remeber correctly, the idea of building something new & specials to offer to the world has started like 2+ years ago. I suggested to use some other better transformers & with newly upgraded main boards & of course a fee other ingredients to build me such a special pair. At this time, I'm still in shock as how good they are. We all know everything needs time to burn in, break in & etc... I have other very great gears ion my system which also need time to settle into my system but these babies right out of the box, & took just a few hours & I already hearing something very specials about them.  Several tracks that I normally used for demo Tin Pan Alley this track soundstage & images are much more profound with body & density over my Stratos. Hotel California (Hell Freezes Over) bass is much more define & more textures & I love the part when the audiences clapping their hands I feel like I'm one of the audiences sitting there, maybe I should say these babies make the overall sound are much more lively.

wow very cool, yes I'm sure transformer upgrades are worthwhile for sure.. and doubling them per channel must be a big current reserve boost

Are those in Khartago cases?

@ Housteau Yes they are in Khartago cases.

@ uncola yes good transformers such as these MuMetal makes a noticeable improvement, but we also have to look at the updated boards which is now thicker beefier. and and and few other upgrades that Klaus had put in the labor & parts to squeeze out every ounce of performance. with these Double trans in each mono I feel I have more dynamic & control over my Stratos.

Husker,

Just call me to discuss in detail   317 299 5578.
I'll have to post a really long response here in the next couple of days in order to explain the differences over the years,  and why this project is so special......

First off,  looking at Al's pics,  only the first one is the final product,  in his room.  The others were shot when the amps were still in the burn-in rack at the shop.

Quick note though:  I have compared head to head several high end amps in the past couple of years with my trusted Kismet internals that I used as my reference for several years and even had at the shows....again,  Khartago, Stratos, etc.  ,  the cases are just that,  metal.  Kismet and SE's etc.  are internals,  and it's all interchangeable.

Anyway,  I have had Soulutions, CH', ARC's references, 50 K + Simm Moon's, $ 80 K Halcro's,  40 K Pass Labs,  and several others in my room.   My amps,  with the 850 VA big momma transformers and the 35 K hyper caps were definitely on eye level with these mostly superb amps, and maybe even bettering them  at least in certain areas of emotion, sound staging, and overall "rightness", if that makes sense...now,  the ARC's were the only amps where the A/B test clearly favored them over mine....as for the other comparisons ???  Every one of the guys bought the Kismet's...and the guy with the Soulution monos actually ordered 11 pcs !!!!!!!!!!! ( 7 for his main system,  2 for his summer house,  and 2 spares,  just in case.  And all of that was still wayyyy less than half of his monos)

So,  my point is that these older reference amps that I had tweaked out are phenomenal.  Put a price tag on them ????   Definitely not 7 - 8 K that I'm selling them for............

So,  I had Al's amps in my system for about 5 days for listening sessions,  biasing point research,  etc.   I put them into the main system with the Symphonic Line Erleuchtung pre,  the VPI Avenger ref. direct,  Graham Signature arm,  and the DS Audio Master Sig cartridge and phono units.   Speakers in my big rig are the big 4.1 Raidhos........  This is a supremely competent system to detect differences in the amps.

Bottom line:  the new project just spanked my trusted references big time...took them behind the shed and left it bleeding.  The new project is so superior,  I was stunned.  It's always hard to convey differences in words,  no matter what.  I'm doing this for 38 years now,  actually being in the 1 percentile of seniority in this industry,  and I learned that in most cases (not all !!!!!)  money can buy you an amazing improvement in sound quality.  There is such a thing of luxury sound that comes with a price.   These new amps have that feel and performance of a luxury item.    I have no idea as how to grade the improvements.  Let's just say that it is MASSIVE !!!!  They are building upon the Kismet's and then surpass them with ease in every single regard.....

Differences to the Kismet's ???  There are quite a few...Board,  special power supply regulation boards, changes on the boards them selves,  change over to different transistors, super expensive German mymetal trannies,  improved German Symphonic Line caps, improved cabling, newly designed main board,  etc.

So,  what to do with these beauties ????

I will announce a new company here shortly...It's been in the works for over 5 years,  but then came Irina's cancer and Covid,  and it all went to the back burner.   However,  it's time as I have these amps, new top line speakers and other projects to be introduced soon....speakers and amps will be shown at the Capfest in November.

The new company is:  Meilenstein  by Odyssey.    Meilenstein will be our more expensive high end...think in terms of Toyota / Lexus.

But then there's the question of :  what about my amps...can I upgrade or trade them in for the new ones ???  Yes,  of course.  I have already quite a few pairs in the book by now and many more interested.  Upgrades / trade ins have to be handled on a one on one basis.  However,  with Meilenstein,  there will be a new look to it as well,  of course,  and yes,  after hearing these babies,  I'm pretty big on the 4 case outboard PS's,  which I'll have to offer in one way or the other.  It's just too good.

Pricing ???   Still have to get quotes for the very expensive parts for volume orders...(caps will run me close to $ 90. each...trannies are nearly $ 600.  each  !!!!!!!!!!!!  You get what you pay for) and since a lot of parts are sourced from Germany,  the %^$&^$%^#@^%$^&*%)(  tariffs are driving me nuts.

As for specs:  as usual,  I don't give too much credence to that,  but figure the same neighborhood of the Kismet in Extreme versions ( 5-10 W Class A.  But the awesome thing with SL designs is that when the amps go into AB,  the switch is absolutely,  100 % inaudible and ultra smooth).  Won't change too much except that these new amps feel and sound much more powerful.  However,  as for channel separation and quietness,  I don't even have to bother measuring this...it is that obvious.

So,  then what did I actually hear that is better ???  First of all,   keep in mind that the amps were only a few days old when I listened to them....Break-in should be pretty much the same insane, stupid long period.  I don't see a reason why this will be different.  But I also know that the amps change sooooooooo much,  it is impossible to predict as to how good they'll actually end up sounding.  Scarily good,  think I.

So,  what did I hear then ???  The first and most obvious differences you can hear immediately is the ultra black background and associated imaging.  It's spooky how voices and images come out of nowhere.  The image outlines and decay of instruments is superb....again,  referencing my point earlier:  there is such a thing of luxury sound and expensive immersion.   The amps hit this part perfectly.  The piano decays are to die for.  Goosebumps ?  check.  Dynamics ???  Oh yes.  Control ???  Yup.    And then some.

And ,  again ....just a few days old.  Bettering my references of years.  By a mile.

That's it for now...Apologies for rambling on.  It's 9 am and I worked alll night, am super tired, t and have to get some sleep.

Good night !!!

Klaus, if I was limited to a single thing to say that would be Thank you.  It is so nice to have something as a sure thing to look forward to.  However, since I am not so limited I will also say that it has been 17 months since you finished my special pair of custom monos, which at that time were considered your reference and the top dog.  I have found them to be exceptional, especially with my new highly resolving Popori electrostatic speakers.  Although not a difficult load and Popori being known for it, it is still very noteworthy on how exceptional they also are with presenting true finely detailed electrostatic bass with power down to 40Hz, in my room.  We will talk at one of the shows and I know Jason will want the full scoop.

I guess this is my cue to jump in. :). I have had a bit of a rough time of it the past year. A year ago December I bought the first pair of Magnepan 2.7Xs. I contacted Klaus and got a pair of Kismet mono blocks to drive them. Problem was, they sounded like crap. Had some harshness to them and just didn't image well or sound right. I am used to electronics either working, or not. I thought maybe I just didn't. like Maggie and missed my VMPS RM2s. Finally I called Klaus and told him they were running about 150 degrees F, was that too hot?

YES! Too hot!

Bias was messed up in shipping. Klaus had the new power supply boards and a few other things updated.  Fast forward, amps arrive, sound is very good.

But. not great.

Then I come to find out that one of my 2.7Xs was 12 db down. Not sure why. Thank goodness I bought from a dealer, he came by and checked it out and said "yep, they are messed up, strange" Still under warranty and he asked me if I want to trade them in for a pair of 20.7X. A deal I couldn't pass up. Still waiting for them to arrive, any day now.

In the meantime I pulled out my pair of VMPS 626 and have been driving them with the Kismets for the past few weeks. Really sounding nice!  it is what Klaus has been talking about. The blackness and silence in between notes, I had never experienced that. With these amps remarkable! This also give a huge sense of soundstage DEPTH, which is also something special. Super dynamic and incisive.

I am not exactly sure where my Kismets stack up against "The Statements". I think it's got most of the same guts, just need to pull out the transformer and wire a plug for power into the rear of the case?  Simple, right?

:)

Klaus, your email is full. I'll be calling in the next few days to see what we can do to get mine updated or whatever in time for my 20.7Xs. We can book it. Hopefully the past year is behind me and have nothing but audio blue skies ahead.

@ Simon,

I mentioned earlier, "The Statements" replaces my Kismet monoblocks in Stratos chassis which to me is already one of the best amps & I can live with them for a long time. The Statements improves over my Stratos in many different ways. I'm not diving deep into what are the improvements & how they sound in my system.

I'm not sure what kind of guts you got in your current amps, but I do know what I have in my new amps vs Stratos, these new ones are upgraded big time over my old Stratos. Klaus had put in numerous hours to tweak them to the max. From my experience with other gears & Odyssey they all required some breaking in time. As many of you have Odyssey amps, during the breaking in time they are ups & down during the first 4-6 weeks. But these new babies are different animal, they sound better & better since Friday. All I want to say is that they are soo good that I can now say they are my end game. I can assure you won't be disappointed.
