Stream 9X core module be based on VitOS from Silent Angel.  A music server based platform is more suitable for Stream 9X.

There is a Stream-9A coming out in December.  I will share more info soon.

No, Stream 9A is Stream 9 with Audirvana Studio server inside.

Stream 9X is Stream 9 with plugin card so user can choose Audirvana, LP10 Nuprime Edition variation, and possibly other streaming platform when available. A good streamer regardless of platform needs good power supply, SRC, digital I/O and chassis.
There is mechanical and design challenge, and then licensing and certification issues to create a flexible platform.  Therefore Stream 9X won't be available until next March.
