Qobuz Connect?
« on: 4 Feb 2025, 07:43 pm »
Qobuz has revealed its Qobuz Connect feature is in beta and that many manufacturers are working on integrating the app into their streamer software. Could James Tanner please tell us if Bryston is working on Qobuz Connect? Apps such as this seem to be the future of streaming.

I came here to start a thread with this very question.

So do we think it would appear only for the BR20 or also include discontinued products that run MM (BDP 3, pi etc).

What about compatibility with the BDP's i.e. BDP-2 and BDP-3?

It’s expected. I am told they are developing on a BDP2 so I would expect it to be compatible with BDP2 and newer.

Thanks

I'm contemplating subscribing to a streaming service for the 1st time and looking at the various options out there and also what my BDP-2 can and can't connect with. What caught my interest was seeing a few albums from bands I like being released in Dolby Atmos only on streaming and not on physical media. Researching a bit it seems Apple Music is a source for the Atmos mixes but the BDP-2 is not cable of accessing Apple Music. Is that correct?

Thanks

I found out apparently Tidal supports Dolby Atmos, as does Amazon Music, has anyone tried streaming an Atmos albums or even singles thru a BFP-2 or BDP-3 from Tidal and if so did it pass the Atmos mix through?
