Biker Scum 2025

I've been fooling around a little bit.
Arrow full competition exhaust, dropped the clip-ons a bit, 17T countershaft sprocket, 5W fork fluid with some molybdenum disulfide mixed in, K&N air filter, a real horn, better grips, Galfer front rotors and EBC pads, factory comfort seat, carbon fiber fender extender, neoprene fork gaiters - it's coming together, slow but sure.
I've got another 5 boxes of stuff coming from Europe along with some Michelin Pilot 6 tires, it's just about done.
I really like the way this one is turning out.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

I was proud "scum" until I turned 63 several years ago, when my wife bullied me into selling my Aprilia Tuono. Other favorites included a Norton Commando and a BSA Lightning. Yeah, I'm old.
Today, my 63-year old brother-in-law (my wife's brother), laid his Honda Fury down when someone backed their car out of their country-road driveway right in front of him.  He shattered his left pelvis and they had to remove his spleen. He's intubated and heavily sedated now, but they hope to pull the tube tomorrow.
There are times when you just can't do anything about - as my dad used to say - "the other idiot." But please be careful at this time of year, especially in the areas that are just emerging from winter with roads that are dotted with potholes and coated with grit and debris. And yes, it's pretty clear that my brother-in-law's helmet saved his life today.
