Here is the YouTube video of the Boston Audio Society December 2024 meeting where Tom Perazella discusses his custom built room and audio system with the dspNexus 2/8 Control Center as the 8 channel DSP crossover and bass management.

Tom's system has been discussed in his articles in AudioXpress magazine for the Egg speakers he designed with new drivers.

Hi Rich,

Thanks for posting. That was very interesting and fun as well. Very complimentary to be compared to much more expensive DSP units. What was the name of the insulating material shaped like sheet rock? I couldn't make out the name that was mentioned. Those speakers that Tom made look great.

Are you a member of BAS or were you a guest?

Nick,
Thanks!

I do not know the name of the materials Tom used in the room construction.  The acoustic materials were made by SonitusUSA that Tom installed for the treatments.

Yes, I have been a BAS member for many years.  A friend that went to school at MIT told me about it.

Thanks, Rich. Reasonable prices on Sonitas. I’ve been a member of 2 audio clubs, both now defunct. I miss the occasional meetings....
