Likely to an Xfinity Xumo for my old non-smart TV.
Currently at 800 mbs, but hoping to reduce to 150 if possible.

Considering Xfinitys DVR box I have uses a 10mb modem for the 1 TV.  And as long as you aren't gaming while streaming it should work.

I will note that my Gig service slows after 5 or when big events are on.  But while everybody was having issues with that Beyonce game I switched to a android streamer and things ran smoothly.  And at my location my stream was almost 2 minutes ahead cable.

4k video burns about 25Mbps, so your 150 service should be fine.
Reboot the router/gateway at least once a week to maintain that speed.

When we had 50Mbps copper DSL with 3 teenagers, it was not enough.
100Mbps fiber finally came along and that was mostly good enough.
Nowadays for me and wife 100 is plenty.

Depending on your router, you may be able to see the transmission/reception rates in realmtime. It won't show it by device, but will show the overall traffic coming in/out.

 If you can do this, just monitor it while streaming to get a feel for what us actually happening.

I just tried it: when streaking netflix on my tablet the initial speed shoots up over 150mbps.  It then drops to under 10mbps.  Then every few seconds, it goes up to 50mpbs for a second, then drops down.  I'm guessing the app is downloading several seconds of video in chunks while playing.

As others have said, you are good to go. Apple TV and Disney + are about 40Mb/s, Netflix at 25Mbs. Sony pictures core is the fastest streamer I am aware of at 80MB/s, but you have to own a Sony TV to use. Additionally, most TV's Ethernet input boards are limited to 100Mb/s. If you stream physical media such as ripped 4K blurays from a local area storage then you are getting peaks in the 100Mb/s range and averages between 30 to 80Mb/s. On some bluray players (Oppo) you can hit the information button and it will show the bit rate coming in. To obtain faster then 100Mb/s use a Ethernet to USB adapter. Per a speed test I obtain 250Mb/s which is what my broadband is capped at.
