Odyssey Khartago Stereo Extreme - Power Consumption
« on: 22 Jan 2025, 08:15 pm »
I am trying to "size" a power conditioner, and need to know the power consumption of the Khartago Stereo Extreme at full throttle.  I am running two of them in a bi-amp set-up.  I've scoured the net, but can't find anything other than the consumption at idle, which is 35W.

Anyone?

Klaus would say to plug them into the wall.  8)

That's exactly what he told me. Done deal. Haven't really thought about it since.

Best thing is to actually measure them. I use one of these KillAWatt meters, not expensive and very handy.

First helpful response I got

I've never seen one of these, but that should work great.  Thanks for the tip!

Just an FYI, unsolicited and likely unappreciated. Klaus recommends powering straight from the wall outlets because they sound noticeably better without conditioning in front of them. Whatever you end up doing, I suggest you listen with and without to decide if it is worth it.
