Died this week at 78.
A real force for originality in an industry plagued by copy cats.

Definitely pushed the envelope. Probably my crowning possession in my Laser Disc collection is my Complete Twin Peaks series. I've have seen it sell for as much as 1700.00 in Japan.
I have enjoyed his work. R.I.P.

One of the greats. He passed too soon. I remember seeing Eraserhead in college and thinking 'that's a bit too weird - but brilliant'. An artist whose work channeled a unique vision of 20th century America.

What a loss. Man, his Blue Velvet was one of the films in my youth that showed me that film could be so much more than the standard multiplex fare. It could be dangerous. Loved it. Mulholland Drive is still one of my favorite movies of all time.

Consummate multi-disciplinary artist, and he turned me on to Angelo Badalamenti.
