Looks like I may have a pair of Magnepan LRS speakers to convert to direct drive biamping with a dspNexus 2/8 system.

First one is rewired to bypass the passive crossover and finishing up installing a new black sock as the original was damaged when I bought it.  The planar is in great shape.

Have a lead on another single LRS.  Waiting on response as to it being available.

The left LRS is modified for direct planar drive with new 5-way binding posts.

Will be powering them with FOSI ZA3 stereo amp XLR inputs moded with new LME49720 opamps.

To direct drive the Magnepan LRS planars will be using modified FOSI ZA3 amps with TI LME49720 opamps to replace the NE5532 originals.  The LME49720's are lower noise and distortion IC's compared to the originals.  The amp takes 3 new opamps as I do not use the sub crossover and use the dspNexus 2/8 for the same purpose with the balanced inputs.

The Magnepan LRS modified to bypass the passive crossover to run vertically biamped is running in mono since only one is completed.

The moded FOSI ZA3 with XLR stereo inputs is powering the speaker with 2' speaker cables.

Have ordered MagneRiser AERO stands in red to then add the sub.  This worked well for CAF2024.

Waiting on #2 to arrive for conversion.

The Danville Signal dspNexus 2/8 is the prototype EA standard AK4493 DAC unit for testing.

The Magna Risers AERO stands in red finish arrived yesterday and look really good on the LRS.

Just got an update that the second LRS should be in for pickup end of next week.  Will take a day trip to pick it up once available.

Once the LRS is here, will mod it for direct drive biamping with the dspNexus 2/8 for testing.

The second LRS has arrived and time to modify it for direct biamping.

The LRS have the MagnaRiser red AERO stands installed and the LRS+ have the upgraded Magnepan grey stands installed.

The left LRS is already moded for direct biamping, and will start the right LRS mod with the reversible mod.

The second Magnepan LRS is converted to direct biamping with the dspNexus 2/8 DSP control center and add the 1x12 modular OB subs.

The MagnRisers red AERO stands are installed and ready to connect to the two amp channels.

The 3-way Audio Weaver DSP crossover design is done and ready for testing and listening.
