Stream-9 as a streaming transport…
« on: 13 Jan 2025, 08:19 pm »
I have experience with streaming with WiiM pro, Primare NP5, PC, various Pi-based streaming and now I am looking for a streaming transport as I have a Denafrips DAC that I am happy with.
What experience do you have with the different NuPrime streamers?
A must for me is Tidal Connect, and excellent SQ!
Also looking at Lumin xx mini and the likes. Don’t need a fancy screen, prefer none at all to be honest…

Is the Stream-9 a contender?

Unless you switch to Qobuz, Stream-9 doesn't support Tidal HiFi (hi-res).
Those who have heard Evolution Stream said that it is the best music server + streamer.

Thanks!
Saved me a pretty penny :-)
May I ask why not? I use WiiM pro+ today playing Tidal connect on ”Max” (24/192) and Stream 9 uses the same (Linkplay) platform, or did I get that wrong?

I am sorry, our support for Tidal on Stream-9 is terrible as we don't get the support from module supplier.
We will offer very generous trade-in from Stream-9 to Evolution Stream.  Contact us by email.
