Is anyone using the Modwright PH 9.0XT phono stage with the Hana ML moving coil cartridge?
If so, are you setting the 9.0 for 100 or 250 ohms load impedance?

I had that combination for a few years, upgraded to a Hana Umami Red.  You want to run at 100 ohms, that is nominal impedance for the cartridge.

Thanks. I've been using the ML for about three years and I sometimes use 250 if a recording is on the dull side; otherwise I stick with 100 ohms. Are you experiencing a significant difference with the Red versus the ML?

Yes, it's a significant upgrade.  The ML is very good for the price, but the Red is much more extended, natural, and realistic.  It's a terrific match with the PH 9.0XT.
