Hi Rod - it will be one single LED regardless of channel numbers.
The rear panel layout is what we are working on so should be very soon.

Just thought I would check in again to see how the final product is coming along and if any a release window has been set yet?

Thanks

Thanks for the update.

Looking forward to getting one of these in 17" silver with blue LED as soon as they are available to power my channel expansion from 5.1 using 2 x 28B SST2's, 2 x 7B SST2's and a 4B SST to a 7.1.4 system and then I'll be getting a 2nd amp to expand one final time out to 9.1.6. I trust these will integrate well with their Class AB brethren.

What is the difference in the design of these new BD amps vs the discontinued 875HT? I know the overall wattage is higher but max channel count is less and these are in a much larger chassis then the 875HT. Overall weight seems to be similar.

Hi Rod,

The 875 was lest lower and was an AB design.  The BD amps are Class D designs.
Do you have an order in - we are already backordered.

Thanks for the update.

No, it never occurred to me to pre-order as I figured with it being a new product there would be ample inventory initially. Looks like I'll have to contact my dealer and get my name in there.

My order was placed for the 6 channel BD-225. Looking forward to being able to expand my system out.

Do you have any photos you could share of the back panel? I just checked the website again and there has been nothing new posted and there is still no manual available on-line there either.

Thanks James.

Is that pic supposed to have an embedded link to the manual for people to check out, if so the link isn't working.

I wouldn’t if I were you, they’ll just compare your amps to some cheap smsl/topping amps, then proceed to butcher your pricing.

Don

I disagree, IMHO it would be totally worthwhile if the Bryston were reviewed by ASR.  First of all, so far as I know neither SMSL nor topping produce amps with the power, and particularly dynamic power, of the Bryston Class D amps.  Second, ASR can and has published pretty good reviews of some fairly high dollar components, for example the $9500 (for 8 channels) Trinnov Amplitude 8m amp:  https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/trinnov-8m-8-channel-amplifier-review.46377/

My prediction is that Amir if he reviews the BD225/BD325 will praise the dynamic headroom, build quality, and warranty.  Beyond that will depend on how it measures.

Personally I don't see myself buying BD225s unless I see a useful review, and ASR would be my preference.

Have any of these arrived yet at dealerships and landed in customers hands? I ordered mine just before Christmas so I may not have gotten in on the initial run.

Thanks for the update.

The Class D design in use, is this an in house proprietary  design or are you using modules designed by a 3rd party thus are also found in other Class D amps on the market?

Cool, thanks.

So what are you thinking the time frame might be for when orders will begin being filled and dealers and customers take delivery?

Thank goodness no more of those dreadful sounding ICE amps! Well done Bryston.  :thumb:
