Up for sale are the legendary Zu Omen Dirty Weekend 2... I've owned two pairs of these and they remain my favorite speakers for larger spaces... and I'm space constrained. They are simply amazing, sounds great with vintage amps as well as modern ones, tubes, class A solid state.... I've used a lot of amps with them and they always amaze me.

In any event, I need to sell some gear and downsize my system.

I'd rather someone come pick these up is downtown LA but I will ship them... I have the original boxes and packing. They are packed and ready to go, I had another buyer cancel on me.

Includes: Speakers, driver covers, original packing and boxes.

$899 plus shipping, Paypal is fine (I don't care about paying the fees).

Seems like it’s harder and harder to sell second hand audio these days. 5 years ago I could buy and sell things quite quickly. It makes it difficult to try things out if you can’t resell them at a loss.

In any event these are amazing speakers. Ready to pickup or ship. Good price.

Thanks for looking.

I have never had good luck selling on AC. You need to use US audio Mart, Agon, eBay Facebook craigslist whatever.
I recently heard a pair of speakers very similar to this in a small room and I thought they were excellent. Good luck!

I agree with the above statement.

Agree it’s hit and miss here, but I’ve sold a lot here in the past. I’ve also posted all my stuff on USAM… which I like a lot. But still finding it hard to move quality items. Cheers.

Excellent looking set up !

Thanks.  The DW's fill that room nicely with a toney, detailed and dimensional presence, and good weight and drive and tightness on the bottom.

Room is 11 x 12, speakers set up on short wall.  Spkr spread is 7ft and 7ft to LP.  No LF problems typical to squarish rooms.

Your price is very reasonable.   GLWTS.

Very competent arrangement!
In a small room, the only way to get good sound is to place along the short wall, a couple of feet in the room. And with panels on the sides virtually expand the size of the room.
Good job!

The only other time I remember hearing Zu's was at a Rocky Mtn Audio Fest, long time ago, Zu was a new company I think.  I didn't get an accurate representation; they were setup with too much space, I couldn't get into a place to listen critically.
Fast forward a decade or 2, and I was impressed with JS's setup.  Really nice sound, responded well to amp changes, and got of their own way.  These conveyed emotion fairly well with the Copland amp.  It was nicely detailed without being harsh in any way... and I found myself just enjoying the music.
If I had a house to put them in, I'd definitely consider these.
