On a good note, we just measured and tested a bunch of Neo 3 tweeters and made 21 matched pairs for a customer.

I need to make a custom pallet for that customer too (he ordered a lot), but the weather is not allowing it just yet.

I'm also new to this forum, and am (slowly) building a pair of NX-3s.  It sounds like I can install the complete crossover on the back panel behind the lower woofer.  Should I cut the damping material to fit around the crossover or install the crossover on top of the damping material?

I'm thinking of laying out templates to router slots in the cabinet sides to make locating and gluing the internals easier.  The slots would be cut using a router with a bushing and a straight-cut bit.  The inner walls of the panels with be sealed to the NoRez will stick.

I think I'll use #20 biscuits to locate the panels during assembly.

I'd like to round the front vertical corners and run wood veneer across one side, the front, and the other side: has anyone done this before?

Locating the center braces and internals with dados or biscuits is going to make assembly that much easier. I think the bigger concern about NoRez adhesion is concerning dust and/or surface smoothness. Seal if you like but it's not necessary. I've wrapped many a cabinet like you described. I have a YouTube video which gets watched a lot covering veneer application on X-LS Encores. Your NX-3s could be done with same techniques. Brace yourself, I'm longwinded!

Thank you, Peter!  I'm currently bingeing most of your videos and I'm picking up a lot of pointers along the way.
So sealing the inside of MDF is not needed as long as I remove all the dust from the surface, is that right?  We know MDF is very dusty.

Correct on the surface prep. Clean is everything. The adhesive in strong, but dust diminishes its ability to stay stuck. Concerning fastening crossover. You can peel the foam off and install on top of the damping layer only but the net effect on sound is minimal at best. NoRes does not have to be pretty or contiguous to be effective. Getting your crossover board made and fitted prior to assembly of box will make your life easier on final assembly.
I encourage you to start a build thread detailing your project so others can benefit down the road. When complete, you could link it in " GRR build threads" so it will be accessible for the future.
